Losing our top centerman and obviously the scoring of Omark. We'll have recall a few forwards from the ECHL now.

Here's a quick breakdown of the offensive firepower the Barons are losing. Will be tough to replace this. Plus O'Marra is by far the best defensive centerman for the Barons

This is what I would have guessed and I think most oiler fans will be happy. O'Marra is a remnant from the Ryan Smyth trade and I think most people had given up on him. He will get a real good shot now and could easily wind up as one of the key faceoff men for the oilers until Horcoff returns.
Omark should get a chance on one of the top three lines, which have all evolved into scoring lines at this point. The unexpected wildcard is the play of Ryan Jones which has solidified him a spot on the top three lines at least for the time being. It will be interesting to see what the lineup is for the next oilers game this Friday.

Yep, I was going to ask about Jones. Seems like he barely made the team but now he's looked very solid.
It's too bad the Barons and Oilers game are at the same time tomorrow night. I sure would have liked to see our guys play in the big show.

I'll be at the game tonight in Edmonton. The Edmonton papers are listing the lineup as:
Hall-Gagner-Eberle
Paajarvi-Cogliano-Penner
Jones-O'Marra-Omark
Jacques-Fraser-Brule
This isn't necessarily accurate as it's usually based on the previous day's practice but Renney has commented about Omark and O'Marra playing together so it looks like at least that line will stick. Should be interesting to see what they can do with Jones.

Great, I'll be watching the highlights after I get home from dollar hot dog night at the Barons!

I hope I can catch some highlights if there are any good ones. I'm going out after and it could be a late night. I'll probably have to catch the highlights on youtube. But I like watching the highlights of a game you see in person, especially because my seats are VERY high up...

LOL - yeah I can see that. Luckily AHL prices are about 1/8th of what you'd pay for a NHL seat.
