Im in Calgary for the Holidays... I have been playing Outdoors every day. It has been great. The crappy thing is I was properly fitted for skates for the first time in my life. I had to buy One70's in a size 8ee in Lieu of the CCM U+07 in 9.5 that I was fitted for at a rink that will remain nameless. However they were on sale for a great price so I wasnt mad. DUAL BONUS ... Flames play tonight and Friday and I have tickets to both. SO STOKED to watch the NHL, even if my flames suck. I am 14-1 in the dome over my Calgary trips so here is hoping I will bring them luck.

Man did we suck. Scored the first 3 goals in 10 minutes, then didn't score until late in 3rd. Lost 7-4

Brandon did a good job on D.

Don't worry about points man. Worry about how many points you didn't allow the other team to score.

One of my friends back home had a great analogy. If you take the lazy forwards and subtract a point from their point total each time they were on the ice when a goal was scored they'd be in the minus for goals.

Brandon, if you want more points play forward lol. If you play DEFENSE and are getting noticed youre doing something wrong.

I said points not goals. Every person should benefit both offensively and defensively wether you're a defenseman or a forward. And I didn't say I wanted a lot. I'm not looking to lead the league in goals and assists. But seeing zeros in every category for 4 seasons in a row is frustrating. An assist every once in a while would make me worth my salt. Mike, Doug, and Kelly are vicious in the offensive zone when they are playing back. And besides I'm not playing defense when WE have the puck in our OFFENSIVE zone. Sitting back on my ass where my only job is to keep the puck in the zone isnt good enough for me. In my opinion its the defensemans responsibility to make things happen, to be a play maker in all zones. I'm just saying I want to be better that's all. And the more I play the better I'll get. But I have to say preventing a goal is so much more exciting for me than scoring one. It's just hard to measure. And I wouldn't sacrifice anything defensively to score a point. And I sure wouldn't be thrilled at having to play forward unless i absolutely had too! No offense forwards!!! Shit I'm ready to play again!!!!!
