So I'm sure the AHL game is the main attraction around here, with the Barons players representing and the Oilers being almost shut out of the NHL game due to injuries, but I was wondering if anybody else was looking forward to the NHL game this Sunday?
I for one, am looking forward to getting a good look at how Matt Duchene is playing, since everyone is saying such good things about him. And Taylor Hall will at least be in the skills competition to rep for the Oilers.
Other thoughts?

I ready to be watching it. I love the format this year that the captions draft the players. I was hoping they would pick Jordan Staal as a replacement to see all three on one team.

Yeah, the format is definitely interesting. No guarantee all the Staals would be together though, I know Lidstrom has mentioned grabbing some of Staal's preferred picks to mix it up a bit.
Somewhat surprised they haven't picked any other Oilers to balance things out, but I was very excited to hear that Stastny was selected as a replacement, makes the 8th Father/Son pair to have appeared in an all star game.

I didn't even really realize they changed the format until the other day.
Should be cool to watch. I almost like the skills competition better though.

Yeah I'm recording the skills comp since I will be at the barons game. I think the main reason for not that many oilers is because of injuries. That's why some teams are not sending all their top guys like the red wings.

The game was sick, you can watch the replay on NHL.com if you missed it. There were some nasty goals. Final score ended up being 11 to 10 with Team Lidstrom getting the 2 points.
