You beat me too it Brett. Just one more example of a guy that the NHL can do without.

I feel after what he did against ERIC TANGRADI he shouldn't have been allowed back this season.

Just read this gem from Iles GM Garth Snow
"From the play, the way I saw it develop, it was a hit from behind on DiBenedetto by the Minnesota player," Snow said prior to Saturday's game against St. Louis, the first of 10 Gillies will miss due to the suspension. "Trevor comes over and tries to finish his check. First point of contact was shoulder-to-shoulder. It was not a hit from behind by any means."
Not sure what game he was watching, and last I checked you can't check a guy who hasn't touched the puck, but it's obvious from these comments the Iles organization doesn't plan to do anything about Gilles.

They keep on saying "it wasn't a hit from behind". That's not even why he's suspended. He got hit in the head, and now he hasn't played since.

gillies deserves the suspension, but i think it is funny that when milbury was a player he actually went into the stands to fight with fans and as a coach sent a lineup of goons on the ice to injure an opposing player because of a check he didn't approve of. now he is lecturing other players about their behavior and saying they shouldn't take matters into their own hands, just let the refs take care of it. strange how things change once you become a network mouthpiece.
