I think they may be getting a little ahead of themselves. While I appreciate the enthusiasm - come on.... really? Nothing will ruin an outdoor game like 75 degrees and a 40 mph wind in January (which is what I posted here ---- http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/OKCBarons?ref=ts )
I couldn't even imagine the logistics (and cost) of trying to put this together. Again, it would be cool... but lets worry about getting the team support first! /end rant.

An outdoor game? I mean I know it's a cool idea and all, but I think that it'll start getting passe' if you have everybody doing it.

I understand that they are anxious to get people excited about the team and exhibitions like this would be good for that. However, this just has bad idea written all over it.

Outdoor games should be in frigid cold weather, like it was in Buffalo for the first Winter Classic. Sure, outdoor games are fun to watch, but unless you need to bundle up because of the cold, it's not really worth the cost. Plus, the brand new OKC team in the AHL hasn't proven to hold a fan base large enough to fill an outdoor venue. Not to mention a sheer lack of a real rivalry so far between OKC and other AHL teams. That, and the Oiler's system is severely lacking enough talent to make Edmonton a contender in the NHL, so the Barons won't likely be getting any standouts for a while for the league to justify an outdoor game in OKC.

Agree 100%. While I don't think we'll have too much of problem being in the top 5 in AHL attendance let's take it one step at a time.
