I'm guessing that Taylor Hall guy is going to be a top pick (maybe to the Oilers) but I can see him going straight to the NHL. That kid is FAST

The NHL draft is a bit like baseball's draft with many of the draftees still spending a few years in what Canada's calls minor hockey, and what Americans may call junior hockey even before they sign and play for a minor league club. Its not like football or basketball with the draftees expected to play the next season. Not many make it to the NHL without seeing a good portion of a year or more at the AHL level, or with an ECHL club...

The Oilers are likely to take Tyler Seguin, a right handed center. The Oilers lack real quality center depth throughout the organization and are deep with wingers. The right way to build a team is through the middle, goal, defense, and center. The biggest compliment that can be said of Seguin is he makes players better around him. The same is not said of Hall. Although Hall is fast and talented, he plays a lot with his head down. His game will have to change to play in the NHL.

If you are interested in a more Oiler specific forum, the motley crude (http://www.themotleycrude.com/). It's not oilfans or HFboards, it's smaller and your voice is heard.

Seguin is very good too. I honestly can't say I know much about the Oilers roster but am getting to know them better now.
