El Gato Pollo Loco!!!

Since I just found this forum, thought I'd just copy/paste my intro from another OKC forum

My name is Ken and I moved to Oklahoma City in October in 2002. I found this site through OKCTalk. I am originally from the Detroit, MI area and I am still a Detroit fan first and foremost. I am excited by the fact that the (Insert AHL team name here) will be here, so that I may be able to talk hockey on a professional level.

I know what you're asking yourself right now if you don't know me or the story though the previously mentioned forums. "Why/How the "Crazy Cat Chicken?" Glad you asked. I basically came up with it by combining a song I learned in elementary school ("El Gato" [which for some reason I remember the cat falling off the wall and dying at the end, but those are other issues]) and a fast food chain in Southern California when I lived there ("El Pollo Loco"). I thought it was a pretty original name and have used it in all the forums I participate to this day.

I hope you enjoyed this and I look forward to talking hockey in the future.

lol great name. Detroit fan huh? You'll fit right in with some of the guys on here.

Welcome. Hope we have some more to talk about as the season gets closer. Kind of mystified about the non-action on the local team. You'd think they'd at least say something...

They could be waiting for the AHL season to wind down before making an announcement. That's the only thing I can think of.

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe waiting for the Calder Cup to finish.

Trust me, there are many around...every time I wear my jersey I always seem to get into some conversation about them.
