Not way excited about the name, but the logo isn't bad. I'm ready for a renewed enthusiasm for Ice Hockey around here. Hopefully local sports radio will cover some hockey now and maybe, just maybe even mention the NHL every once in awhile. I also hope for more sporting goods places would provide hockey equipment. Seems the only place to buy is at the local pro shops with their inflated prices or the internet were you hope the equipment feels right and wait a couple of weeks to receive it.

So true. I don't think I've ever bought anything from the pro shops here except skate sharpenings. And even that is half-assed.

Prodigal hockey will be hosting a press conference at the Cox Convention to unveil the team name, team colors, logo and jersey on May 19th at 4:00pm. The press conference will be held in Northeast Corner of the Cox Convention Center on the street level. The event is open to the public and we are encouraging fans to join us for the exciting announcement! Parking will be available at the Courtyard by Marriott just south of the Cox Convention Center for those wishing to attend. Individuals will be able to start accessing that facility at 3:30pm.
