Not a huge surprise the Hawks made it - but how bout those Flyers. Never really liked them but gotta give them credit for making it.

My prediction - Hawks in 6.

Game 2 to the Hawks! I really didn't expect a defensive game like that. I see Carcillo was back in the lineup. He's a goon but sure can be effective at stirring the pot.

Unless the NHL has a agreement with NBC to pre-empt programming that night to show that game, I wonder how many people are really going to watch it.

I know what you mean. I am a DirecTV subscriber which, for the majority of the season, did not carry VS. I had to go to my mom's house to watch the Stars play the five times they aired on VS. By the time DirecTV got VS. back, They were already done with the Stars Broadcasts. I wish ESPN would get hockey back. It really sucked to subscribe to NHL Center Ice and still not be able to see every game possible.

AND THE HAWKS WIN! Great game - but I think that was the oddest ending to any championship game I've ever seen. Even the announcers didn't know what was going on. I missed the sight of everyone jumping the benches when the goal was scored.... but it's all good.

On a sad note - No more hockey until Sept now :(

Yep, great game. The oddest ending I've ever seen in hockey. Ever! Too bad it was a Stanley Cup Final game. The game leading up to that last goal was good. Kinda anticlimactic end to the playoffs. What can you expect though. This series had a great transition game, put less than stellar goaltending. Especially on Philly's side of the ice. Any way we'll still have pick-up hockey and adult league. Just wont have the inspiration you get from watching the pros.

Let the off-season begin. Congrats to the Chicago fans. I was in those shoes in '97 and it was just awesome. Enjoy it while you can.
