Poll: Barons or Blazers

Been reading quite a bit on other message boards about people completely pissed off about the team name. My opinion - the Blazers are dead - time to move on and support our new team.

I am super excited about hockey coming back to OKC. This year was a long year with no live games to go to. My wife and family will support the Barons. I wasn't too thrilled about the name, but it has grown on me. Having said that, my wife and I were huge Blazers fans and were disappointed to find out the name wouldn't carry over to the new team. I think the name is perfect for a hockey team and the flaming puck was the best logo in all of hockey. But we are thrilled to have a higher level of hockey in Oklahoma City.

Not to pick on the Blazers - but anyone who's had an NHL team or even AHL team close by knows the skill level doesn't even compare. I'm really excited to have some good hockey here in town.

To be honest, I think if they brought out a third jersey with the Old English B, that would be cool.

Other than that, if people are that upset about the name that they won't go to a game, then they can easily drive an hour or hour and a half to Wichita or Tulsa to experience that brand of hockey. They'll get over it.
